    Introducing and fostering intra-organizational innovation communities: A sensemaking perspective

    Open innovation methods, such as online communities, recently gained attention to foster innovation. To unleash the full innovative potential of organizations, this research project aims at bringing together the concepts of online communities (e.g. open source software communities) and intra-organizational communities (e.g. communities-of-practice). To get a more distinctive understanding of these intra-organizational innovation communities, a sensemaking perspective was chosen and a three level approach, using case study, action research and experiments was applied.
