Description: The case describes the revolutionary development of the game changing game console, the Nintendo Wii through the eyes of CEO  and the chief  designer officer, Mr. Miyamoto at Nintendo.

The case describes the steps for radical innovation leadership approach of Nintendo's top management and key designers to change the playing rules and  prevailing the business model of the console gaming industry via launch of a new game console, the Wii. The case further identifies the challenges of new innovation development within the gaming industry and established reasons why Nintendo needed to open its corporate borders to outside game develop communities

The case provides explanations to the following 3 core questions:
1. How could Nintendo achieve success via radically redesigning the console and the way games were played?
2. How could Nintendo attract casual and non gamers to the gaming industry?
