Dries Faems is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Operations, Organisations, and Human Resources (University of Twente) and Affiliated Researcher at the Research Centre of Organisation Studies (Katholieke Universiteit Leuven). He holds a masters degree in Commercial Engineering (Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, 2001, magna cum laude) and became Doctor in Applied Economics (Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, 2006) with a thesis titled: “Collaboration for Innovation: Processes of Governance and Learning in R&D Alliances.” With this thesis, he was a finalist of the 2007 BPS Best Dissertation Competition. He has published papers in journals such as Academy of Management Journal, Organization Studies, Journal of Management Studies, Journal of Product Innovation Management, and Small Business Economics.
