    Ard-Pieter de Man is Professor of Knowledge Networks and Innovation at the VU University Amsterdam. Previously he worked at TU Eindhoven, Maastricht University and the Rotterdam School of Management, where he wrote his PhD thesis. Key themes in his research are innovation alliances, knowledge networks, building up alliance capabilities and the implementation of open innovation. He is the author of over forty articles and ten books on these topics. He also is Principal Consultant at Atos Consulting, the Netherlands, where he specializes in alliances and innovation management.
